Customisation

The Meteor Print Engine API can be customised as new applications are addressed. We charge for implementing customer-specific customisation . However, we add industry-specific customisation without charge and make the expanded API freely available to all supported Meteor software licensees.

Specific functions added have included (for illustration purposes):

• An ability to receive (from a nominated printhead) a document identification number once it has been printed. This function is necessary where documents must be traced carefully through the system even in situations of a print system abort.
• An ability to select which of several stored images is to be printed based on I/O input levels. This function is necessary if the operator will not have access to a PC and will select images via a simple dial or button
